Wes Harrington, CAE, is a career professional in the management of nonprofit organizations.  During his many years in the industry, Mr. Harrington has served as the chief executive leader for numerous regional, national and international organizations in the healthcare, financial services and hospitality and event management industries, in addition to founding and managing two management companies in the nonprofit industry.

In 1994, he founded Harrington Management as a full-service management and consulting firm to nonprofit organizations. Since its inception, HMI has provided innovative management solutions to over 250 nonprofit organizations. 

Over the course of his career, he has developed a particular expertise in organizational management and best practices for nonprofit organizations, including board training and development, leadership succession planning, strategic planning, event management, and marketing and branding for nonprofits.  

Mr. Harrington and his firm have won numerous awards for excellence in nonprofit management, including Business Educator of the Year (New England Society of Business Educators), Meeting Professional of the Year (Meeting Professionals International), and four (4) Distinguished Service Citations and related awards (American Society of Association Executives, and the International Association of Association Management Companies).

Nationally recognized as a thought leader in organizational management, Mr Harrington has addressed over 200 organizations on the challenges of nonprofit management.  He also has served as an adjunct college professor,  leading programs in nonprofit management as well as hospitality and event management, at several area colleges and universities, including Boston University, Northeastern University, Bentley University, and Lasell College.  

Mr. Harrington has served on numerous industry boards, including as the elected president of The New England Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, and the New England Society of Association Executives.

A graduate of Clark University, Mr. Harrington also holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Institute of Organizational Management at the University of Delaware, as well as  the top voluntary certification in nonprofit organizational management, The Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives
